We are looking to appoint a qualified Therapist who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of the children and young people they work with to join our service providing play/arts-based therapy and counselling for children and young people affected by parental substance use.

Our drug and alcohol support services are delivered across West Sussex (base for this post therefore tbc). Please note that this role requires extensive travel across West Sussex

Children and Young Persons Therapist

Hours: Part time 30 hours per week (4 days).

Contract Type: 12 Months Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)

Full Time Salary: 33175 - 35220 (pro-rata if part time)

Responsibilities

We have a diverse team of counsellors and psychotherapists from a variety of counselling and therapy training backgrounds such as play therapy arts psychotherapy humanistic and integrative counselling.

You will have a counselling or psychotherapy qualification minimum of Level 4 with a recognised training will also be registeredor accredited with BACP or an equivalent professional body such as PTUK UKCP or BAAT.

CGL provides all 1:1 and group clinical supervision covers mandatory professional registration fees offers regular line management supervision and supports CPD requirements necessary to maintain professional registration and development.

Our team of therapists mostly work in schools and colleges during term time and community venues during school holiday periods. Working hours are normally 9-5 weekdays only.

Your duties will include supporting the delivery of an effective and comprehensive therapeutic service to children; having regard for those who are most at risk and the needs and expectations of partners and stakeholders.

Working from shared locations and utilizing our existing relationships with other providers this is a project aimed at improving the emotional wellbeing of under 18-year-olds.
