The Role
Are you a recent graduate or graduating later this year and looking to kick start your career in Application Penetration Testing with TCS

We are looking for passionate and curious graduates to join our expanding this role you will receive structured training hands on experience with industry-standard tools and frameworks and the opportunity to work alongside experienced penetration testers in our Letterkenny office to help identify and remediate real-world security vulnerabilities in enterprise applications.

Your responsibilities:
Assist in manual and automated application penetration testing of web applications and APIs under the guidance of experienced penetration testers.
Support scoping and informationgathering activities learning how to understand application functionality architecture and defined testing scope.
Contribute to penetration testing reports by documenting identified vulnerabilities understanding risk ratings and learning how to write clear remediation recommendations.
Participate in retesting activities to verify that vulnerabilities have been successfully remediated and meet security standards.
Work closely with senior team members to develop effective communication skills and understand best practices when engaging with clients.
Collaborate with the wider cyber security team sharing ideas and learning new techniques to continuously improve penetration testing methodologies and tooling.
Research emerging application security threats vulnerabilities and attack techniques and apply this learning to real world testing scenarios.

Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
Either a recent graduate or someone about to graduate in the next few months in Cyber Security or a related field with at least one module in Penetration Testing
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly articulate vulnerabilities risks and remediation strategies.
Understanding of the OWASP WSTG & OWASP Top 10
Aware of the CVSS (Common Vulnerability Scoring System) calculator to accurately assess and prioritize risks based on severity and potential impact.
Aware of CWE (Common Weakness Enumeration)
Knowledge of working with technologies such as Burp Suite Kali Linux.
Ability to deliver several key pieces of work at pace whilst maintaining high standards.
Ability to write clear structured reports.
Ability to work as part of a team
Attention to detail

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Development knowledge would be beneficial
Experience working within the financial service industry
A certification in CompTia Network A Pentest Security is desirable but not essential
Knowledge or experience of AI Tools
Japanese Spanish or Portuguese language skills an advantage
