Food Service Manager Food Service Manager 1 (Wilsonville)Job Description:
The Oregon Department of Corrections is seeking a strong and experienced leader to serve as the Food Service Manager at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility (CCCF).
In this role you will be responsible for directing and managing the food services program to ensure high-quality efficient service while operating within established budgetary constraints.
You will provide direct supervision over all assigned food service staff including assigning work monitoring performance and supporting training and development.
You will oversee day-to-day food service operations ensures compliance with applicable food safety sanitation and agency requirements and coordinates staffing and workflow to meet operational needs.
You are responsible for authorizing and monitoring all program-related purchases managing inventory and expenditures and ensuring resources are used effectively to support consistent and reliable food service delivery while aligning with operational and fiscal goals.
This position is management services and may be eligible for Police & Fire (P&F) benefits through Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) as defined by statute.
Five (5) years of lead work supervision or progressively related experience;
OR
two (2) years of related experience and a bachelors degree in a related field.

This position oversees the Food Services programs at CCCF CCCM and CCIC and requires daily exposure to multi-gender felony-convicted AICs. This oversight will include inside the secure perimeter as well as outside the perimeter as there are both on-site gate-cleared work crews and off-site community-based work crews. The threat of physical abuse assault riot and other risks inherent in a prison environment are present.
This employee is responsible for responding to an AICs out-of-control behavior supporting security staff in their role of restraining AICs when needed coming to the aid or defense of another staff member and following and enforcing all established security procedures at all times. This employee is required to follow and enforce all ODOC and CCCF Rules and Procedures at all times.
The person in this position may be required to travel both in-state as well as out-of-state. The employee must attend participate in and satisfactorily complete required ODOC and CCCF training any specialized training as assigned and afterwards use/implement/cross-train subordinate staff the information received in daily activities of this position and Food Service operations.
This position provides direct supervision of staff and AICs. This employee is subject to callback 24 hours-per-day seven days-per-week depending on the circumstances of the situation. To ensure Food Services operates adequately to meet the needs of the institution the person in this position may be required to work weekends and/or holidays as necessary and/or required. This employee is subject to conducting daily job duties in a highly active and noisy area with the work being completed on schedule.

The salary range listed above is for non-PERS qualifying applicants. PERS qualifying applicants may be eligible for an adjusted range to reflect an additional 6.95%.
