A well-established industrial installations company is looking for an experienced Site Manager with strong electrical and site management expertise to oversee end-to-end on-site installations. This mid-management role ensures installations meet design specifications safety standards productivity targets and customer expectations while leading teams and contributing hands-on technical support when required.
Responsibilities:
Manage site installations from planning through commissioning ensuring quality safety productivity and neatness
Conduct site visits risk assessments and daily planning of installation activities
Order receive manage and return site materials; coordinate specialised equipment and logistics
Lead and manage on-site teams including attendance timekeeping discipline and performance feedback
Provide technical guidance fault-finding and escalation support on complex electrical installations
Oversee commissioning testing QC documentation and site acceptance testing
Maintain client communication attend site meetings and manage deviations/variations
Ensure full compliance with Health Safety Environmental (SHE) regulations and maintain site SHE documentation
Monitor tools and equipment arranging maintenance and repairs as needed
Requirements:
Qualified Electrician / Installation Electrician (management qualification advantageous)
35 years people/team management experience
25 years industrial installation experience
Strong knowledge of ECandI South African Electrical Standards and SHE requirements
Solid planning organising decision-making and delegation skills
Proven people management coaching conflict management and performance management capability
High attention to detail quality standards and stress tolerance
Valid all-clear medical report
