Registered Nurse (RN) Part Time

• Provides professional nursing services in chronic as well as acute care settings.
• Performs nursing assessment diagnosis treatment & evaluation of ill and disabled persons.
• Accurately prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Assists with ADL (Activities of Daily Living).
• Trains and assigns work to LPNs and CNAs.

PREFERENCES:


Although preferencemay be given to individuals with six (6) months of experience in a long-term care setting new graduates are welcome to apply.


KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of laws principles practices techniques of professional nursing and Standards of Nursing Practice.
• Knowledge of the maintenance of medical records charts reports and observations.
• Knowledge of medication administration and mathematical calculations for the correct dosage.
• Knowledge of the aging process medical problems diseases andbehavioral issues.
• Knowledge of work management and leadership theory and practice.
• Knowledge of federal state and local laws pertaining to healthcare.
• Knowledge of the ability to function and make decisions in high-stress situations.
• Knowledge of good oral and written communication skills to articulate thoughts and medical terminology.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Lift/transfer persons in our care to different positions.
• Lift persons and/or medical equipment of varying sizes and weights up to about fifty (50) lbs.
• Work holidaysevenings nights and /or weekends as scheduled.

NOTES:

• FLSA: Non-Exempt.
• The position is part-time requiring 24-32 hours per week.
• For the health and protection of the persons in our care annual influenza vaccination and annualtesting for tuberculosis are required.
• Employees of this facility will be expected to follow all rules and requirements established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regarding COVID-19.
• A background check including the taking of fingerprints will be completed through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation the Department of Family Services and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant.
