The role is responsible for maintaining installing and commissioning the electrical components of the machinery and equipment to an agreed standard
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Maintenance of electrical components of machinery equipment and electrical reticulation systems Medium Voltage and Low Voltage Systems
- Conducting safety meetings and participating in risk assessments
- Attending to breakdowns and emergencies
- Escalating defects and abnormalities to management
- Supporting coaching and participating in the training and development of subordinates and apprentices.
- Ensuring an effective two way open communication with subordinates and line supervisors.
- Overseeing Engineering Learners and Artisans and ensuring effective teamwork.
- Reporting risk behaviour incidents and injuries.
- Advising on defects and abnormalities to appropriate supervisor or manager.
- Performing work to the required standards and specifications
Qualifications :
- 5O Level Subjects including Mathematics English and Science
- Apprenticeship trained and Certified Competent as an Electrician
- A National Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering is an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years working experience post apprenticeship training.
- Must be familiar with SHEQ Systems.
