The Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is seeking a qualified and trained Software Engineer Jr. for a role in an engineering support services program for U.S. Army customers at Aberdeen Proving Grounds MD. The Software Engineer Jr. is responsible for performing the software engineering function including the design development testing troubleshooting and debugging of software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products to bring about the successful completion of the CYBERTRON program goals and objectives.
The CYBERTRON program delivers highly skilled engineering services to the U.S. Army C5ISR Center in their mission of cybersecurity research and development and cryptographic modernization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop computer software code in a variety of software programming languages.
- Troubleshoots and develops technical solutions related to software and setup errors for field engineers technicians and customers.
- Creates workaround procedures when standard procedures have failed and ensures issues are resolved in a timely fashion.
- Software requirements analysis analysis of hardware compatibility development of software products and tools used for design development and maintenance of infrastructure and platforms.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be a US Citizen and possess a Secret Clearance
- Bachelors degree in computer science electronics engineering or other engineering/technical discipline or 8 years of relevant experience.
- Appropriate DoD 8750 certification (Security or higher).
- Have experience in a variety of software programming languages.
- Have experience in a variety of business systems and applications.
- Also have experience in designing testing debugging and documenting software.
- Requires deep knowledge of and ability to apply advanced technical principles theories and concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Eligible for TS / SCI
- Experience supporting Army programs
