- Serves as communication coordinator for assigned neighborhood; answers telephones page calls retrieve/deliver messages
- Maintains medical records of each resident on the unit thins medical records according to policy.
- Assists with ensuring labs are completed as order and lab book is up-to-date.
- Assists residents in scheduling transportation and/or PDA for appointments in accordance with facility process/policy; keeps neighborhood appointment calendar up to date and communicates pending appointments to nursing staff so residents are ready.
- Assists on unit by answering resident call lights transporting residents on the unit assisting with resident mealtime.
- Maintains unit census keeps unit roster and all daily assignments up to date.
- Prepares new admission charts/delivers discharged charts to medical records.
- Ensure office supplies available for unit staff.
- Assists with charging/maintaining SARA phones.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED equivalency required.
- GNA license in the state of Maryland preferred.
- One (1) year related experience preferred.
