Staff Software Engineer (Sydney, Hybrid)

We are seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Staff Software Engineer passionate about building a world-class platform through a world-class team. Creating technical software excellence and spearheading application development in design implementation and maintenance to make magic happen.

WHAT YOULL DO:

• 
  Build scale and maintain infrastructure of the enterprise reconciliation application that brings the world class user experience to finance professionals
• 
  Work with wider technical teams on the design deployment and continuous improvement of infrastructure of our products
• 
  Be a technical domain leader provide technical guidance to your team and own the delivery of features.
• 
  Participate in raising our standard of engineering excellence by implementing standard methodologies for architecture coding testing and deployment

WHAT YOULL BRING:

• 
  8 years of hands-on experience designing and operating large-scale distributed infrastructure with 4 years serving as a technical lead and mentoring engineers.
• 
  Deep expertise in Linux and Windows server environments with strong experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• 
  Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible and scripting languages including Bash Python and PowerShell.
• 
  Experience with data infrastructure and processing technologies such as Spark and MSSQL. Experience building the systems that power high-volume transactional workloads ideally in finance space. Cybersecurity experience is a plus.
• 
  Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• 
  A track record of building infrastructure that scales stays available and remains secure using Agile practices to ship reliably.
• 
  You work openly and collaboratively with diverse teams and youre energized by driving engineering excellence through better standards processes and shared knowledge.
• 
  BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
