Job Summary
This role is hybrid which means you will work some days on site at a Best Buy location and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process. For this role you must be located within a drivable distance to our office in Richfield Minnesota.
What youll do
Own metric ingestion and validation across platforms ensuring accuracy and consistency in enterprise scorecards
Collaborate across engineering infrastructure and data teams to maintain metric integrity and accountability
Influence architecture and technical decisions for complex systems ensuring scalable and reliable solutions
Identify opportunities to improve SDLC and observability; recommend tools practices and standards to enhance efficiency and quality
Communicate trade-offs between technical analytical and product priorities to guide balanced decision-making
Build strong technical and business relationships across teams acting as a mentor and thought leader
5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience
5 years of experience in data analysis and enterprise-level database design
5 years of hands-on expertise with GCP or AWS products and services
5 years programming IaC CI/CD automation and test-driven development
3 years providing technical leadership and mentoring within cross-functional teams
Bachelors degree in IT Computer Science Engineering or related field
Demonstrated success driving cross-functional initiatives and fostering alignment across diverse teams
Skilled in clear communication and proactive risk management for complex projects
Expertise in SRE practices and observability frameworks (CloudWatch OpenTelemetry)
Strong background in data governance and compliance
Experienced in designing cost-optimized cloud architectures
Experience with Agile methodologies and modern software development practices
