Rate of Pay: 28.22 - 38.12 per hour
Summary:
The Social Worker is responsible for providing and developing an enhanced level of social work practice to support vulnerable children or adults within the County Borough. Working under the guidance of a Team Manager the post holder will deliver professional assessments and care management ensuring that all interventions comply with national legislation local policies and trauma-informed practice. The role focuses on empowering service users to maintain independence while ensuring robust safeguarding and risk management through multi-agency collaboration.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake comprehensive social work assessments and manage care in line with Authority policies and statutory requirements.
- Act as a staunch advocate for service users rights ensuring their voices are heard and their choices are respected.
- Produce high-quality concise and evidence-based reports for a variety of audiences including Safeguarding Boards and Court proceedings.
- Ensure all practice adheres to the Health Safety and Welfare at Work policy and the Corporate Equality Policy.
- Represent the Social Services perspective in multi-disciplinary settings and case conferences.
- Foster positive working relationships with internal colleagues and external partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
Qualifications:
- CQSW Diploma in Social Work or BA/BSc Honours in Social Work.
- Must be currently registered with Social Care Wales
Essentials:
- Proven social work experience within Childrens or Adults Services (including relevant professional placements).
- Experience in managing a caseload and navigating the complexities of statutory social care.
- In-depth knowledge of current social care legislation national guidance and safeguarding standards.

- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
