What You Will Do
TheCompliance Support Specialistrole serves as a strategic partner totheVPof Compliance SVP ofComplianceand the President of Property Management. This role is a liaison betweenCompliance Regionals VPsandpropertystaff and willassistincollaboration and connectionsbetween operations and compliance. Theprimaryroleisto ensureon-time compliance activitiesof the properties intheirassigned area of oversight. Alsoensuring compliance withthe standards and expectations of Seldin Company Ownerships property-specificand compliance Support Specialistshould use management and leadership skills to trainmotivateand empower associates to reach their goals and those of thecompliance consultation with the SVP of Compliance and the President of Seldin Company the VP of Compliancewillprovideon-siteassignments for this will varydependent on the portfolioslocationor changes totheportfolio.
Skills and Requirements
- High School diploma GED or Associates degree
- 3-5 Years of related compliance certification experience in affordable housing compliance
- Candidates for this position must hold a national credential or certificate in LIHTC compliance and Multifamily Section 8 occupancy compliance or the ability to complete coursed and pass exams within 30 days of employment
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with affordable housing compliance auditing for HUD LIHTC or other government-sponsored affordable housing programs
- Working knowledge of affordable housing regulatory internal control requirements and industry knowledge in all aspects of affordable housing compliance
- Possess the capacity to undertake assignments that require traveling across the organizations affordable housing portfolio frequently involving prolonged durations of overnight travel.
