The Part-Time Administrative Assistant provides essential administrative and operational support to the department. This role serves as a primary point of contact for faculty staff and students. Assist with triage and onboarding practices and help assign advisors to students. Professionalism accuracy and strong communication skills are critical to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine administrative and operational support tasks.
Assign new current and returning students to advisors.
Communicate effectively with faculty staff and students.
Respond to emails phone calls and in-person inquiries.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
Utilize computer systems and software with proficiency
This position requires a high school diploma and work experience directly related to the duties of the position. An associate or bachelors degree may substitute for the required related work experience.
Preferred candidates will have experience working with student database systems and mid-range computer systems in a college environment along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of office management principles and practices and demonstrate a strong customer service orientation. Candidates should also be able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively communicate clearly with faculty staff and students manage multiple administrative tasks with accuracy and professionalism and be willing to work flexible hours as needed to support departmental operations.
