UW Medical Center - Montlakehas a leadership opportunity for ourNeonatal Intensive Care Unit. We are looking for someone who is interested in growing their career as anAssistant Nurse Manager.

Come work with an interdisciplinary team of neonatologists nurses physical therapistsspeech therapistsrespiratory care practitioners pharmacists nutritionists other healthprofessionalsand parents as members of a babys healthcare team.Under general direction by the Nurse Manager the Assistant Nurse Managerutilizesthe nursing process to prioritize delegate and provide safe therapeutic allocation of nursing resources to patients. The ANM makes independent judgements decisions and acts on a widerangeofroutine and complex staffing and unit workflow issues.

UNITDESCRIPTION

  • Our NICU cares for premature and critically ill newborn infants born here at UWMC or transported in from outlying hospitals.

  • You will be caring for multiple births and micro preemiesbabies bornasearly as22weeksgestation.

  • As part of UW Medicine the NICU has access to the most advanced neonatal research.

  • Our team has been instrumental in setting the standard for reducing risk of brain damage and lung problems in premature babies across the nation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead clinical practice education and management as delegated by and in collaboration with the nurse manager

  • Performchargenurse duties

  • Serve as a clinical resource for patient care and staff competency

  • Facilitate education supervision mentorship and evaluation of staff

  • Provide feedback to staffregardingclinical interpersonal and communication performance

  • Promote delivery of quality nursing care

  • Assistwith ongoing unit daily operations

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

  • Participate in hospital wide committees

SCHEDULE

  • 90%Nightshift(36 hrs./week)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Have/obtain a WA RN license to practiceor MSL

  • Graduated from an accredited school of Nursing

  • Two or more years oflevel III or IVNICU nursing experience

  • Charge nurseexperience

Compensation Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:

$102408.00 annual

Pay Range Maximum:

$187896.00 annual

Other Compensation:

$10000 Sign on bonus/ Relocation available BSN or higher premium $1.00/hour Certification premium $1.25/hour Night shift differential $5.00/hour Weekend shift differential $4.00/hour Sunday Night premium $3.00/hour Overtime pay
