Under limited direction the Army Metering Program (AMP) Field Service Representative (FSR) is responsible for optimization of a customers energy programs metering and control systems and for training Energy Specialists on those systems. The FSR works with Facilities and Maintenance Directors to address mechanical and control issues for buildings.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
- Provide customer support and work with the project engineers other system engineers and end-users to assist in developing cost-effective methods for an efficient Utility Controls design and system solution.
- Work with essential/key team members to understand their systems requirements to ensure the correct IP infrastructure points list critical alarms and scaling set points are integrated as designed.
- Properly address TCP/IP networks and RS-485 communications across multiple protocols including BACnet Lon Modbus and others.
- Follow QA procedures to ensure quality control performed by others is properly implemented throughout projects.
- Write detailed daily reports pertaining to jobsite milestones.
- Perform inspections and testing of Utility Control Systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Coordinate project work internally within the department and externally with other departments to ensure all projects are completed on time.
- Provide technical assistance with regard to daily operations system upgrades and preventative maintenance of Army AMP systems.
- Resolve operational and technical deficiencies.
- Monitor daily operations ensuring system performance and data requirements meet specifications.
- Identify order receive and track parts.
- Update refine maintain and deliver training material.
- May serve as a technical liaison between corporate departments government customer vendors and others.
- May provide leadership to lower-level employees.
