Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Registered Nurse (RN) you will be a pivotal healthcare professional delivering compassionate high-quality care that truly impacts our patients well-being and recovery.
Every day you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized comprehensive care making critical assessments performing skilled procedures and meticulously implementing patient care plans. - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies including but not limited to:
- Cardiac issues* Respiratory distress * Neurological events* Gastrointestinal issues * Musculoskeletal injuries
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including vital signs medical history and physical examination.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications perform procedures and monitor patient responses to treatment.
- Educate patients and families about their condition treatment plan and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team including physicians nurses technicians and support staff.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures including infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing upon hire and
- Registered Nurse: WA upon hire
- Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association. Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
Preferred
- Bachelors Of Science Nursing and One year of related work experience in an acute care setting
- Previous E.D. experience current within the last 2 years or
- Critical care experience current within the last 2 years or
- New graduate or RNs without E.D. or Critical Care experience AND successful completion of the E.D. residency program.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 12 - months
- Trauma Nurse Core Course within 12 - months
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 12 - months or
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 12 - months
