Job Summary

OCU Group is looking for experienced Site Supervisors to work on Power projects in Moray & Elgin.

A Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing construction projects ensuring they are completed safely on time and within budget.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervision: Oversee day-to-day operations at the construction site ensuring adherence to plans specifications and safety standards.

  • Coordination: Coordinate with contractors subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth progress of the project.

  • Quality Control: Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.

  • Safety: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Progress Reporting: Keep accurate records of work progress materials used and any issues encountered. Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.

  • Problem-solving: Identify and address any issues or conflicts that arise during construction finding solutions to keep the project on track.

  • Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the site to ensure compliance with building codes regulations and project specifications.

  • Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of site workers providing guidance and support as needed.

  • Cost Control: Monitor project expenses and ensure resources are used efficiently to stay within budget.

  • Client Relations: Maintain positive relationships with clients addressing any concerns or requests promptly and professionally.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in construction preferably in a supervisory role.

  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of construction methods materials and techniques.

  • Health and Safety: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.

  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with team members contractors and clients.

  • Problem-solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions to overcome them.

  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organization and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure work meets quality standards and specifications.

  • Leadership Abilities: Ability to lead and motivate a team while also working collaboratively with others.

  • Qualifications: A relevant qualification in construction management or a related field may be preferred but not always required depending on experience.
