Music plays an active role within the school with strong engagement in lessons ensembles and performances throughout the year.
The Role
Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4 with the opportunity to teach KS5 depending on experience
Planning and delivering engaging lessons in performance composition and music theory
Supporting pupils musical development and confidence
Contributing to choirs ensembles concerts and school events
Encouraging pupil participation in co-curricular music activities
Working collaboratively within a supportive and well-established Music department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Music or a related subject
Experience teaching Music at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Strong subject knowledge across practical and theoretical aspects of Music
Good classroom management and organisational skills
A positive professional and collaborative approach
