Job Summary
THE WORK: As a GIS Specialist youll help clients leverage geospatial technologies to solve complex business and infrastructure challenges. This includes designing implementing and maintaining GIS solutions that integrate with broader digital transformation strategies.
Location : Across Australia where there is an Accenture Office - Hybrid 2-3 days in Accenture office or client office requirements.
Fulltime/permanent position within a consultancy.

What Youll Do
Data Management: Build maintain and optimize GIS databases and spatial data infrastructures.
Analysis & Modeling: Perform spatial analysis mapping and visualization to support decision-making.
Consulting: Work with clients to understand requirements and deliver tailored GIS solutions.
Integration: Configure and troubleshoot GIS platforms including Esri/ArcGIS and ETL tools like FME.
Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams in utilities urban planning and environmental engineering projects.
Innovation: Apply scripting (Python SQL) to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in ArcGIS/Esri software
- Strong knowledge of Python and SQL
- Experience with ETL frameworks (e.g. FME)
Professional Skills:
Requirements analysis and business model strategy expertise
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to translate spatial requirements into high-level solutions
Education & Experience:
Relevant tertiary qualification in GIS geography environmental science or related field
Due to client requirements Australian Citizenship is essential to be considered for this role.
