Founded in 1953 Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Biology Biochemistry Biomedical Science or closely related discipline from an accredited college or university. One year of college teaching experience is preferred. Terminal degree in the afore mentioned fields (Ph.D. MD DO PharmD DVM) preferred.
Biology courses may include: General Biology Microbiology Anatomy & Physiology and Forensics.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide instruction in the Biology Chemistry and Physics Department in Biology.
Evaluate student performance.
At the direction of the Department Chairperson faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
Course assignments may be at the HVCC main campus (Troy NY) and/or HVCC North (Malta NY).
The salary is $1457.00 per contact hour prior to 9/1/2026.
