We provide strategic communications services to a diverse range of clients with a focus on center-right and conservative policy and political communities. We are seeking a highly skilled full-time Director of Media Relations to join our growing team.
Position Overview
The Director of Media Relations will lead national media engagement strategies for corporate policy nonprofit and political clients. This role requires deep media relationships strong writing skills and the ability to execute high-impact media campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic media relations campaigns for corporate policy nonprofit and political clients
Organize and manage major media events and secure high-profile media placements
Build and maintain strong relationships with reporters editors producers and booking teams
Pitch op-eds and manage media interview coordination
Serve as a senior-level media strategist for clients across issue areas
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 5 years of national media relations experience
Established and current broadcast media relationships
Strong ties to center-right and conservative policy communities
Exceptional writing skills with a demonstrated record of successful media placements
Self-starter who excels both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Background in Capitol Hill political campaigns think tanks PACs or nonprofit organizations preferred
Willingness to work in person at the Old Town Alexandria office with periodic travel
Salary & Benefits
$90000$100000 starting salary
