About the Role:Responsibilities of the Electronics Technician include advanced diagnostics and repair of specialized RF sub-systems and assemblies requiring strong diagnostic skills schematic interpretation and proficiency with advanced RF test equipment. Repairs primarily involve component replacement on RF and digital modules. Additional tasks include assembly work such as replacing bandwidth components on RF modules and implementing Design Change Orders on assemblies with fine-pitch devices.

The role also involves manufacturing activities including operating semi-automated test stations and analyzing test data. This position operates within the Production environment.

Responsibilities:

Assembly

• Assembly of radio frequency based printed circuit assemblies.
• Maintaining and regular supervision of the soldering stations and various control systems and repairing them if necessary.
• Advise users to follow the right procedures to prevent malfunctioning of the test stations and equipment.

Debug and Repair

• Specialized diagnostics and maintenance of radio frequency sub system like automated test equipment instruments and control systems.
• Component level repair of RF (radio Frequency) and digital printed circuit assemblies and modules.
• Adjustment and replacement of faulty components on RF printed circuit boards.

Design Change Orders

• Implementation of design change orders to production product.
• Review the design change order instructions and work with the production engineer to ensure that design change order documentation is correct and up to date.
• Installation of electronic instruments and various control systems with the required specifications.

Testing

• Testing of product on semi- automated test stations.
• Analyze and interpret the data from one radio module to another through the attenuators.
• Minimize the congestion and distortion in signals with the help of different control devices like low noise amplifiers preamplifiers band pass filters.
• Test the RF modules in the thermal chamber to analyze the performance of the module at extreme temperatures by observing their nature with the help of graphs display on LabVIEW software.

Improvements & Quality

• Ensuring that quality targets are achieved.
• Continuous improvement in quality capacity and costs.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Ability to read and understand electronic circuit diagrams for the purposes of diagnostics
• Soldering skills. This includes special requirements for lead-free printed circuit assemblies and the ability to handle wide variety of component types
• Ability to read and understand documentation associated with the assembly process. This includes assembly instructions and design change orders (DCOs)
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge and understanding of electronic manufacturing processes and techniques
• Good analytical skills
• Ability to work with different people across a team effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Hands on attitude
