JOB TITLE: Airborne Electronic Hardware Engineer Level 5
LOCATION: Everett WA
PAY RATE: $106.50/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)
Shift: 1st shift (8:00 AM 5:00 PM)
Domestic travel: 10%; International travel: none

Summary:

Oversee and guide teams developing airborne electronic hardware devices for airplane systems
Provide compliance verification or assist in achieving compliance in accordance with FAA regulations for airborne electronic hardware development
Direct suppliers to improve performance against contractual requirements (quality delivery cost technical safety communication etc.)
Support audits design reviews and risk evaluations; assist suppliers in implementing risk mitigation plans
Collaborate with internal and external resources utilizing tools processes and methods to enhance supplier performance and meet program objectives
Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers to support airplane system goals

Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in engineering engineering technology (including manufacturing) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science
7 years experience developing complex electronic and electrical systems including electronic device development verification or compliance activities
5 years engineering experience associated with certified airborne electronic hardware
Experience with DO-254 compliance standards
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA)
FAA Designated Engineering Representative Authorized Representative or Engineering Unit Member experience in a delegated compliance organization
