Job Summary

Position Summary:

The Quality Inspector Level 2 is an intermediate level inspector with the ability to fully perform the role of Quality Inspector Level 1 along with the ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering documentation and apply an advanced knowledge of manual tools. The Quality Inspector Level 2 is capable of a wide range of inspection activities to include the inspection of machined parts assemblies raw material heat treat and outside processing.

Shift:

Monday-Friday 9:30am-6pm

Reporting Relationships:

The Quality Inspector Level 2 reports directly to the Inspection Supervisor.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Inspect fastener installation sealant raw material simple machine parts sheet metal parts bushings bearings and standards simple assemblies outside processing (NDT finishes finish coatings thermal processing etc.)
Document FAI report
Document non-conformances
Assist QEs with RCCA
May occasionally perform special projects
Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Experience:

Ability to be certified with Hardness and Eddy Current Sealant Bushing and bearing installation electrical bonding and fastener installation.
Proficient in basic computer skills
Experienced in reading and correctly interpreting complex blueprints and engineering requirements
Experience in applying shop math skills such as trigonometry ability to calculate dimensions set sine plate etc.
Basic understanding of BWMS (Business Quality Management System) processes and procedures
Basic understanding of machine shop and aerospace assembly terminology and nomenclature
Fully experienced with all basic and advanced manual inspection tools
Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions and write simple correspondence
Ability to read and understand technical and engineering material and communicate effectively with coworkers
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations
Self-motivated with an ability to work alone or in a team environment
Ability to maintain a positive focus and earnest approach in meeting responsibilities and goals

Level of Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent education
