- Strong expertise in creating scalable resilient and performance optimized network designs aligned with business and technology strategies
- Ability to evaluate recommend and adopt emerging networking technologies to support evolving enterprise needs
- Proven experience working with leading network vendors and platforms and the ability to compare select and standardize solutions based on technical and business requirements
- Capability to define vendor agnostic architectures while leveraging best of breed technologies where appropriate
- Strong understanding of VoIP and unified communications architectures including call control signaling media flows quality of service (QoS) and high availability designs
- Expertise in designing secure network architectures with built in controls including segmentation access control encryption firewalling and integration with enterprise security frameworks.
- Ability to balance security performance and usability while meeting regulatory and compliance
- Strong technical leadership skills to guide senior engineers and cross functional teams on architecture decisions standards and best practices
- Capability to act as a technical authority and escalation point for complex network design and engineering challenges
