Job Summary

Job Title: Manufacturing Welding Engineer
Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Location: Davenport IA
Duration: 1 Year (possible extension)
Shift: 1st Shift 6:00 AM 2:30 PM

Role Summary:
Support welding operations on shop floor
Improve weld quality safety cost & productivity
Work with production union staff & engineers

Key Duties:
Troubleshoot weld quality issues
Improve weld processes tooling & layouts
Maintain routings & work standards
Support new welding processes
Ensure safety & regulatory compliance
Drive Lean & continuous improvement
Use SAP PDM Creo systems
Update engineering documents
Support production teams
Coordinate with suppliers

Required:
Engineering degree or equivalent
Welding / manufacturing knowledge
Basic CAD (Creo/AutoCAD)
SAP or manufacturing systems
Good teamwork & communication
Able to work onsite with PPE

Preferred:
Robotic welding (Fanuc)
MIG welding (Lincoln/Miller)
Line design & material flow
Labor standards & MPPlanner
Union environment experience

Work Environment:
Shop floor setting
Standing/walking required
PPE mandatory
