Employment is full-time hours Monday-Friday on 1st Shift.
Pay rate is $18.76/hour.
This is a temporary paid developmental opportunity with a limited number of openings designed to expose young adults to manufacturing careers and professional workplace expectations.

What you will experienceat GE Appliances:
Our production operatorsare responsible foroperatingvarious pieces of equipment in our factories to assemble our products dishwashers refrigerators clotheswashersand dryers to name a work on assembly lines and handle parts to transferoperate or adjust the production equipment all while doing this in a fast-paced team environment andadheringto safety rulesregulationsand equipment requirements.
We are committed to providing a safe environment for all employees. To name a few of our safety measures we are providing and requiring face masks daily enhanced cleaningproceduresand weprovide all necessary Personal Protective Equipment.
Candidate Selection & Program Fit
This is a short-term developmentalSummerWorksopportunity with limited capacity. Candidates will be selected through an interview process with priority consideration given to applicants who are currently enrolled in school orpursuingcontinued education or career development.
Applicants who areseekinglong-term or permanent employment may be better suited for other GE Appliances opportunities outside of theSummerWorksprogram.
What Youll Bring to Our Team
MinimumRequirements:
Must be registered with MayorsSummerWorksprogram()
You must be between the ages of 17-21 and be a resident of Jefferson County KY
You must be legally authorized to work in the United Stateswithoutrestriction.
You must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
You mustsubmitand pass all pre-hire screenings.
You must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without an accommodation including but not limited to:
Prolonged standingfrequentlyhandling various parts for assemblyfrequent walkingreaching atwaist level pushing/pulling grasping/squeezingpinching.
Have fine motor dexterity neck flexion andbe able touseairtools.
Be able toreach overheadreach atshoulder levelreach atkneeand floorlevel.
Bending stooping squatting crouching kneeling crawling ladder/stair climbing pivoting twisting neck extension/rotation and using vibratory toolsalso
Handling and lifting of parts and/or equipment (minimum of 42 lbs. lifting/carrying and40lbs. pushing/pulling is)
