Established in 1874 Tempe Elementary School District serves over 10000 students across 21 schools.
At Immersive 9 at Arredondo we are designing a new model of school where students engage in immersive mastery-based learning experiences that connect academic content to real-world application.
Dreamscape immersive environments are a cornerstone of this model. They allow students to step inside learning through interactive story-driven experiences that require collaboration critical thinking and problem-solving.
This role ensures that those experiences are delivered with quality consistency and impact for every student every time.
Who Were Looking For:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education and/or experience equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED
- One (1) year of computer troubleshooting help desk or technical support experience (preferred)
- State of Arizona Identity (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Ability to manage multiple processes in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working with students in school or youth-centered environments
- Experience with immersive technology VR/AR or media systems
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in real time
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort working in high-volume structured environments
- Commitment to continuous improvement and learning

The Technology Support Assistant Dreamscape Learning Lab is responsible for ensuring that immersive learning experiences are executed with precision consistency and reliability.
This role supports the daily operation of Dreamscape environments ensuring that each student experience is technically sound well-managed and aligned to the overall learning environment of Immersive 9.
The role exists to ensure that Dreamscape is not simply a space but a high-functioning system that consistently delivers high-quality student experiences.
Responsibilities & Deliverables:
- Immersive Experience Operations (Execution & Consistency)
- Carry out daily operations of Dreamscape immersive pods and systems
- Launch monitor and reset immersive sessions throughout the day
- Ensure each session runs smoothly safely and on schedule
- Maintain consistent quality of student experience across all sessions
- Student-Centered Facilitation (Performance & Growth)
- Facilitate learning environments that promote student voice agency and ownership
- Support students in developing skills related to:
- Collaboration
- Communication under pressure
- Reflection and continuous improvement
- Coach students in both individual performance and team dynamics.
- Use formative assessment and performance data to personalize instruction and support student growth.
- Scheduling & Flow Management (Efficiency & Throughput)
- Support and manage a schedule of back-to-back immersive sessions
- Coordinate transitions between groups to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
- Ensure timely start and completion of all sessions
- Assist in managing high-volume student usage throughout the day
- Technical Troubleshooting & System Reliability
- Troubleshoot VR headsets sensors and related equipment during live sessions
- Resolve technical issues quickly to minimize disruption
- Perform routine system checks updates and calibrations
- Submit repair tickets and coordinate with IT for advanced issues
- Equipment & Environment Management (Readiness & Care)
- Maintain all Dreamscape equipment hardware and accessories
- Ensure devices are charged updated and ready for use at all times
- Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and supplies
- Ensure the lab environment is clean organized and ready for continuous use
- Experience Quality Control (Consistency & Improvement)
- Test and verify Dreamscape experiences prior to student use
- Monitor experience quality and consistency across sessions
- Identify and communicate issues trends or opportunities for improvement
- Staff Support & Collaboration
- Assist staff in preparing for and utilizing Dreamscape experiences
- Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users
- Support occasional demonstrations or group experiences
- General Technology Support
- Maintain physical condition of computers and accessories
- Assist with troubleshooting student and staff devices
- Support device preparation for assessments and school needs
