Alfred Care Group is seeking an experienced and motivated pharmacist to join the Surgical Services Team as Senior Pharmacist. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most progressive hospital pharmacy services in the country and continue to build and develop the surgical services pharmacy team in a supportive environment.
About the Department & Team
AlfredCare Grouphas a large elective and emergency surgical program consisting of multiple units including Acute General Surgery Orthopaedics Otolaryngology Head and Neck Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Urology Vascular and Radiology. Surgical Services is also home to three statewide services: Major Trauma Service The Victorian Adult Burns Service and Bariatric Services
The Pharmacy Department works closely with patients their family and other health services to provide high level pharmaceutical care. Our departments priorities are to provide information on medication safety cost-effective use of medication for patients and deliver specialised pharmacy expertise at important points of a patients recovery or treatment process. Our pharmacists are recognised as essential members of all clinical teams actively engaging in a unit and team-based care model involving ward rounds and collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient care outcomes. As Senior PharmacistSurgicalServices you will be responsible fortheday-to-daydelivery of clinical pharmacy services toa portfolioof surgical unitsacross Alfred Care Group. The position will alsobe responsible forsupervision and development of clinical pharmacists working within these services. You will work in collaboration with the Lead and Senior Pharmacists within Surgical Services and other specialties to develop clinical services of all surgical patients.
