IT. Senior Developer Hedge Fund Accounting

About the department: Hedge Fund Accounting IT (HFA IT) department manages the core accounting platform(Æxeo) and data warehouse within Citco. The platform is used by clients globally and is the first true straight-through proprietary front-to-back solution for hedge funds that uses a single database for all activities including order capture position and P&L reporting and accounting. The position reports into Development Manager. About the Role:

Develop and maintain features for the core accounting platform (Æxeo)

Participate in technical design and code reviews

Collaborate with team members on development of new modules

Write clean maintainable and efficient code

Contribute to system documentation and knowledge base

Support troubleshooting and bug fixing

Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning

About You:

Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in either Information Systems or Computer Science

Minimum 4 years of Java application development experience

Strong Java development skills including:

Core Java 8

Spring Framework (Spring Boot Spring MVC)

JPA/Hibernate

RESTful web services

Microservices architecture

Maven build tool

Experience with SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL)

Experience using Confluence JIRA and Git

Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile Waterfall) and their application

Experience in building complex distributed systems

Strong understanding of software development best practices

Experience with cloud services

Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines

Experience in a financial services company is a plus

Experience in using code assistant tools is a plus (GitHub Copilot)

Working knowledge of AWS EC2 AWS Batch AWS Cloudformation AWS Step Functions is a plus

Any formal cloud-based training and any industry cloud-related industry-accredited certification is a plus

Experience with automation and automated testing is a plus

Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills including written and oral English
