Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a Legal Counsel Asia & Australia to support AtkinsRéalis legal activities in the Asia & Australia region.

In this role you will be reporting to the Legal Director Asia with a dotted line to the Legal Director Australia

Responsibilities

• Carrying out contract review negotiation and general commercial advice including bid opportunities MOUs joint ventures and consortium agreements.
• Understand consult on and provide proactive advice regarding litigation arbitration other ADR processes and regulatory matters in Asia and Australia.
• Negotiating and advising on professional services contracts under both international and local jurisdictions.
• Draft and advise on various ancillary legal documents including NDAs settlements variations and contractual notices.
• Regular reporting and updating on status of matters in the region.
• Partner with and efficiently manage outside counsel and other legal service providers.
• Serve as a subject matter expert with respect to legal matters in the Asia and Australia region.

Requirements

• Legal degree and member of a local professional association for lawyers.
• NQ to 5 years experience whether inhouse or in private practice.
• Strong work ethic superior organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment under time constraints and work well independently and as a collaborative team member.
• Demonstrated commitment to centering diversity and equity in executing key responsibilities.
• Demonstrated success building and ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders and influence in a team setting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to problem-solve.
• Confidence blended with humility.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
