Manila Investment Accounting and Analytical Services (IAAS) team is responsible for the reconciliation of financial reporting data and the preparation of cyclical customized reporting to NT clients. They work closely with their counterparts to deliver superlative data quality and first class client service. As experts in this field partner would have a strong base knowledge in accounting principles adaptable with working in multiple financial platforms and best in class client service.

Focus on resolution of SAP FAM transactions and custody accounting where investment accounting knowledge is required to interpret policies guidelines and/or processes. Involved in consultative problem solving client engagement/onboarding projects. Emerging as an expert in a multi-basis reporting. Role is balanced between high level operational execution and development and execution of strategic direction of business function activities. Technical experts without management responsibilities seen as key advisors on significant business decisions.

Duties:

• Ensure appropriate accounting books and records are maintained for all client investment portfolios by applying the proper STAT GAAP and Tax prescribed guidance.

• Review and reconcile NT custody data with SAP accounting systems to ensure accuracy and adherence to clients custom reporting requirements.

• As Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides comprehensive in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level.

• Operates independently; has in-depth knowledge of business unit / function. Full ownership for one or more processes reports and/or procedures.

• Ability to collaborate with consultants peers clients and internal stakeholders on handling queries and requests.

• Escalates relevant and critical issues to management and all pertinent partners/clients in a timely and efficient manner.

• Ability to lead support and/or strategize on projects focused on improving service delivery capacity management and productivity.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Knowledge of investment accounting and financial instruments specifically related to multi-basis accounting and U.S. GAAP standards.

• Analytical skills are required to research and resolve inquiries.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills are required.

• Must have strong working knowledge of fixed income and equity securities and understand activity related to accruals income payments and other maintenance transactions.

Experience and Qualification:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or its equivalent. CPA is highly preferred but not a requirement.

• 6 years of related work experience in audit or financial/investment services is required.

• Strong background of accounting and financial principles relating to investment multi-basis accounting (regulatory statutory tax) and GAAP basis.

• Experience in handling client and process onboarding or migration.

• Strong communication and presentation skills to stakeholders clients and client servicing teams.

• Strong project management critical thinking and strategic thinking skills.

• Experience with SAP FAM applications is highly desired.
