How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW
For EPC projects executed by E&C the Subcontract Team is responsible for the development preparation and management of all contractual elements of construction contracts. Subcontract Team involvement is required during all phases of the project starting with the preparation of an ITB bid clarification and comparison contract award to a contractor the Subcontracts administration during execution at construction site until the final close-out of the Subcontracts
Join Air Liquide E&C in our Frankfurt offices for a comprehensive Project Management experience. You will oversee the commercial lifecycle of a major industrial construction project (Air Separation Unit Electrolyzer) managing subcontractors from the initial tender through to the construction phase.
1. The Strategy & Buying Phase (Pre-Award)
You prepare the ground before construction begins.
Strategy & Sourcing: Define the contracting strategy with the Subcontract Manager and qualify the best construction firms.
Tendering (ITB): Coordinate with Engineering and HSE to compile technical documents (Scope of Works BoQ) and launch Invitations to Bid.
Negotiation: Analyze offers compare commercial proposals and lead negotiations to finalize contracts with selected bidders.
Once construction starts you manage the subcontracts remotely acting as the contractual and commercial focal point of the Subcontractors.
Contract Administration: Serve as the primary commercial contact for subcontractors.
Claims & Change Management: Analyze requests for extra work (Change Orders) and manage claims to protect the project budget.
Financial Monitoring: Review progress reports from the site validate quantities and approve monthly payment applications.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise daily with the Site Team (in Dresden) and Engineering (in Frankfurt) to resolve issues and keep the project moving.
Are you a match
Education:
Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or similar Masters is ideal
First experience (internship or contract) in industrial buildings or industrial engineering
Soft and Hard Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel) or similar (Google Sheet)
Ability to track data and update it efficiently
Excellent communication to all projects stakeholders
Languages:
English fluency is a Must have
German is a nice to have but is not required
