WB COO

COO Wholesale is accountable for designing the global WB operations strategy and optimizing productivity and customer satisfaction in Operations to improve operational efficiency for the (5000) segmented Wholesale Bank clients. The product portfolio consists of all Wholesale Bank products like Lending FM Trade (TFS SCF and WCS) and Daily Banking.

Position Summary

We are seeking an energetic analytical and experienced Operational Resilience professional to join our team.

In this role you contribute to accelerating key journeys as part of the Scalable Operations Strategy within executing ING Wholesale Banking and COO strategy to evolve towards one global digital bank. The professional is supporting the implementation and execution of digital initiatives. The first assignment is to work in the program to accelerate the onboarding journey for Wholesale Banking clients.

Additionally the role is critical in ensuring the robustness and scalability of our operational processes systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will support in the WB implementation of the Operational Resilience Targets for the bank and work closely with global experts to implement best operational resilience practices within Wholesale Banking.

The ideal candidate will have a strong capability in client due diligence and onboarding in promoting cross-functional collaboration and driving business outcomes with a broad variety of stakeholders and has to have excellent analytical verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Scalability

  • Support the ambitious digitalization agenda of most of our customer-facing processes and ensure operational efficiencies go hand in hand with increased customer engagement
  • Support the need for change shaping a vision mobilizing commitment and monitoring progress to achieve the desired outcomes
  • Follow-up on design and implementation plans for scalable solutions to support business growth and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with business and IT leads to ensure the delivery of scalable operations initiatives across WB
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the executive team on the status of resilience and scalability initiatives

Operational Resilience

  • Support the workstream focused on operational resilience within Wholesale Banking
  • Support the development and implementation of comprehensive operational resilience strategies to ensure business continuity and minimize disruptions
  • Support the design and implementation of business continuity plans disaster recovery plans and crisis management protocols
  • Collaborate with global experts and with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of operational resilience practices across Wholesale Banking
  • Support the development of procedures and related guidelines for WB Operations ensuring integration with the broader corporate policy framework on Operational Resilience and compliance with national legal and regulatory requirements

An energetic and dynamic candidate who support our journey in Scalable and Digital Operations and Operational Resilience with:

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Operations Management Engineering or a related field. Masters degree preferred
  • Certification in Business Continuity Planning (CBCP) Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP) or similar is preferred
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to operational resilience and risk management
  • Experience with business continuity planning disaster recovery and crisis management
  • In depth knowledge of KYC and onboarding journeys
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in operational resilience and scalability
  • Experience with steering on output
  • Affinity with operational resilience and risk
  • Excellent level of English
