This Program Manager - Water Chiller position is an integral role in the development and implementation of highly efficient and reliable Water Cooled Chiller with superior user experience for GE Appliances a Haier Company. The position will closely interact with sourced suppliers along with the GE Appliances technology sourcing quality and commercial teams to understand all consumer queues in an effort to design and produce new and innovative products that lead the market. The use of skilled engineering analysis and judgment with a strong desire to exceed customer expectations in every way is paramount to position success.

How Youll Create Possibilities

Program Execution

  • Work closely with product management team to initiate the product definition and technical specification.
  • Work closely with cross-function team to initiate the product development plan and qualification plan.
  • Track the project progress according to work breakdown and ensure all tasks and milestones are completed on schedule.
  • Act as a technical communication bridge between GEA team and supplier team to ensure the smooth implementation of the program and the on-schedule delivery of products.
  • Ensure the timely transparent and accurate information interaction between GEA team and supplier team.
  • Consider problems from the perspectives of both parties and propose solutions.
  • Risk management.

Technical Support

  • Review the product design and test reports provide professional technical opinion to achieve better performance quality and cost.
  • Actively support the failure root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance of NPI process Standard Instruction and Engineering Test Procedures to suppliers.
  • Audit suppliers laboratories and factories.
  • Follow up and interpret the latest standard.

Engineering Contribution

  • Continuously contribute to patent
  • Proactively learn and apply AI tools to improve work efficiency

What Youll Bring to Our Team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • 3 years experiences in Water Chiller product management development application service or training.
  • Excellent verbal & written English and communication skills.
  • Proactive problem solver comfortable with hands on work in laboratory or factory
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a global environment.
  • Advanced computer skills high proficiency in Microsoft products and ability to grasp new systems quickly.
  • Strong project management and analytical/problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to scope and analyze cross-functional problems to generate/implement solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience of multiple HVAC products management or development.
  • Experience of US Air Conditioner Market
  • Deep understanding of UL and AHRI standard and US DOE regulation
  • Certification of Lean or project management or AI skill

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • This role requires regular meetings in the evening.
  • This role requires occasional weekends.
  • 10%-20% travel is expected including domestic and international.
