Job Summary
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Design stable reliable and effective database using Oracle PostgreSQL MYSQL DB and MSSQL. Liaise with developers to improve applications and establish best practices. Gather user requirements and identify new features Database Query review implement proper indexing Prepare ETL Scripts and migrate data from one database to another database Provide data management support to users Contribute to design & overall product architecture Solve database usage issues and malfunctions Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements Carry out daily database backup data recovery and restore as well as data replication. Modify databases according to requests and perform tests
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Maintain >99.9% database uptime. 100% success rate in scheduled backups and ability to restore data within RTO/RPO targets. Updated inventory <2 second average query response time for key applications. 90% of database incidents resolved within SLA (e.g. P1: 4 hours P2: 8 hours). 100% of critical patches applied within defined policy timeframe. CPU memory and storage utilization kept below 80% threshold 100% adherence to role-based access policies.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: BSc/HND Graduate with an Computer Engineering Computer Science Electrical/Electronics Information Technology degree Others: A Professional Certification in ORACLE POSTGRESQL MSSQL MYSQL is an added advantage Experience: 8 years work experience as a DBA

Knowledge: E-payment industry knowledge Behavioural Results oriented Demonstrates Integrity Proactive Decisive Analytical Creative & Innovative Skill/Competencies: Proficiency in Oracle PostgreSQL MSSQL MYSQL database management. Good troubleshooting and analytical skills. Good knowledge of the Microsoft operating system and oracle Linux operating system Good written and verbal communication skills and excellent collaborative skills.
