Position Title: Student Assistant Admissions

Department Name: Office of the Provost

Position Reports To: Senior Director of Strategic Admissions Management

FLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt

Hourly Rate:$19.18

Benefits: Limited Universitys benefits

Days & Hours: Variable weekly schedule to be established by supervisor. Flexible schedule may require evening and weekend hours during peak periods.

BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF JOB:

Provide administrative organizational operational and research support to GGU Admissions Team. This position will include training in our CRM system Salesforce Microsoft Teams Outlook myGGU and our SIS system Ellucian Colleague. Assist with other projects and administrative tasks as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assist the team of International Admission with the following:

Credential Evaluation/Admission:

  • Collect and evaluate documents to determine credentials of applicants eligibility; process program applications and documents; perform data entry.
  • Notify Enrollment Counselors applicants agents and partners of missing or additional requirements to process admission in a timely manner.
  • Manage shared inboxes and any inquiries before rerouting them to the appropriate team.
  • Coordinate and support GGU Admissions Team initiatives.
  • Supporting Admissions team by providing guidance to prospective students and assisting them through their application process.
  • Partner with departments outside of Admission including Financial Aid Student Success Coaches GGU Worldwide Advising and other departments or faculty to ensure the delivery of a high level of service to every student; Escalates issues as appropriate.
  • Collect and make copies of all official foreign and domestic transcripts on-site
  • Participate in activities to support student onboarding and serve as a resource point for faculty and staff.
  • Answering phone calls helping prospective students with their inquiries.
  • Resolving errors out of the system
  • Helping with registration files
  • Other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education requirement:
    • 4-year bachelors degree from an accredited institution or a student of Golden Gate University
  • Years of Experience:
    • 1-2 years proven experience in counseling recruiting or any administrative expertise.
  • Have experience in communicating with diverse clients.
  • Exceptional communication skills while remaining welcoming understanding and empathetic. Ability to engage others internally and externally.
  • Goal-oriented with experience exceeding quotas and driving for results in a target-driven environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box.
  • Flexible adaptable and supremely motivated.
  • Strong confidence and presentational abilities in both 1:1 and group contexts.
  • Additional language proficiency beyond English is a plus.
  • Skills and abilities:
    • Communicate effectively with international prospects and employees of organizations.
    • Articulate GGUs differentiated value proposition in the global marketplace.
    • Write reports and business correspondence.
    • Use messaging apps including WeChat WhatsApp Viber Line among others.
    • Work on recruitment marketing and promotional events in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialized experience in college admissions and/or sales functions
  • Experience utilizing CRM: Salesforce or similar account management software.
