Our Geotechnical Team in Ontario is expanding and we are now looking for an Geotechnical Engineer in Trainingto join our team. This position is located in Vaughan Ontario but we would consider applicants in the greater Toronto area as well that have good geotechnical skills from projects such as transportation highways rail municipal roads and bridges.

This is a great opportunity for an EIT with good technical and engineering skills to work on exciting projects where they can make their mark and move their career forward. This role offers a hybrid work environment growth potential and a good work-life balance.

Your role

  • Work closely with a variety of AtkinsRéalis professionals in multiple sectors such as transportation rail & transit energy cities and developments as well as industrial.
  • Participate on multi-disciplinary teams and projects and will be expected to collaborate on multidisciplinary projects of all scales.
  • Assist in major programs supporting complex proposals mentoring of junior staff as well as act as technical reference.
  • Develop and expand our infrastructure geotechnics capability by building on the existing portfolio of our rapidly expanding flexible and outward looking team that can tackle work across a broad spectrum of sectors.

About you

  • Must have 3 years of strong Geotechnical Engineering experience.
  • A strong academic background with a relevant university degree.
  • Proven experience working in the field preferably in geotechnical drilling operations.
  • Proven experience in highways rail municipal roads and bridges.
  • Application of Design Standards and Guidelines in a design and field work ground investigation environment.

Additional information

Expected compensation for this role is between $80700 - $111000 annually. Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills experience and potential impact on the role. Internal and external competitiveness are also taken into account in our offers.
