This role is part of Blue Origin Operations which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain Test Operations Safety Quality and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

TheProduction Support Specialistrole has one objective ensure a stream of workis always readily available for delivery to our technicians.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Production Control to strategically control the flow of materials to manufacturing workcenters.
  • Reconcile any part discrepancies vs. request list; coordinate with Fabrication Control to order replacements or request spares ifnecessary.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental activity with warehouse quality inspection non-conformance review board purchasing andlogistics.
  • Schedule and expedite the movement of parts by means of move orders stock transfers and requests for shippingorders
  • Work cross functionally to expedite any material shortages with Production Control and other productionareas.
  • Continuously monitor and respond to technician parts needs including replacements for non-conforming parts delivery of fasteners and shop stock moving assembliesto inventory or to the next work center and other similar duties asrequested.
  • Read and understand part transportation requirements specified on the workorder.
  • Monitor the flow/velocity of jobs through the production line and partner with Production Control to ensure work completes on time toschedule.
  • Monitor the velocity of the disposition of MRB and strandedmaterial.
  • Enter material transactions in ERPsystem.
  • Process Scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP locations asrequired.
  • Prepare for conduct and assist in reconciliation of cyclecounts.
  • Knowledge of backflush and Kanbanprocess.
  • Must be able to work well with others take direction and execute swiftly be mindful of process improvement opportunities and be able to problemsolve.
  • Identify catalog and report manufacturing delays sources and resolutions needed to Operations Supervisors andManagers
  • Aggressively enforce safe material handlingpractices

  • Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical
