Schedule: Day Shift 8:50 AM 3:40 PM
Hours: 37.5 per week
Pay Rate: $40$45/hour

Job Summary

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher Autism (SPED Autism) to provide individualized academic and behavioral instruction to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a school-based setting. This role supports student growth in academic communication social-emotional behavioral and functional skills in alignment with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct special education instruction to students with ASD

• Develop implement and monitor IEPs in compliance with IDEA and state regulations

• Deliver structured evidence-based and individualized instruction

• Implement behavior intervention plans and positive behavior supports

• Support students in individual small-group and inclusive classroom settings

• Collect and document data to track progress toward IEP goals

• Collaborate with general education staff related service providers and families

• Participate in IEP meetings parent conferences and team meetings

• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education

• Active or eligible Virginia Special Education teaching license or endorsement

• Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder

• Knowledge of IDEA IEP development and special education compliance

• Strong classroom management communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

• Experience with moderate to severe autism

• Familiarity with inclusion/co-teaching models

• Training in ABA strategies or autism-specific interventions
