Our marketleading noncontentious construction team combines deep industry knowledge with legal expertise. Many of our lawyers bring prior sector experience and regularly engage on site enabling us to provide genuinely practical and commercially grounded advice.

We support clients at every stage of the project lifecycle including the structuring negotiation and delivery of construction contracts for some of the most complex developments in the UK and internationally. The team is also recognised for its leading work in:

You will work closely with marketleading lawyers who are recognised experts in noncontentious construction advising on major development and regeneration projects funderside construction risk institutional investment mandates and complex contract suites. The team is known for its work on building safety compliance innovative project structures and largescale development schemes across commercial residential and mixeduse sectors as well as significant experience in the design procurement and delivery of missioncritical data centre facilities.

The Role

As a Supervising Associate you will play a central role in delivering strategic commercially focused advice across a wide range of development and regeneration projects. Working with a diverse client base that includes developers funders asset and investment managers contractors and end users you will provide practical and forwardlooking guidance throughout the full lifecycle of construction and real estate development matters.

You will advise on the negotiation of construction contracts (including standard JCT amendments) professional appointments and warranties provide construction due diligence on real estate transactions and contribute to the negotiation of development agreements. You will support clients in managing construction risk navigating complex legislative change including the evolving building safety regime and ensuring their projects meet both commercial and sustainability goals.

In this role you will manage your own matters with appropriate supervision work closely with marketleading partners and senior lawyers on major UK and international developments and collaborate with colleagues across Real Estate Funds Projects Finance and Disputes. You will also supervise junior team members contribute to business development and play an active part in the continued growth of a nationally integrated highly regarded practice.

What were looking for

• Around 46 years postqualified experience gained within a leading City national or regional firm.
• Strong noncontentious construction expertise including negotiating construction contracts (with standard JCT amendments) appointments and warranties providing construction due diligence on real estate transactions and contributing to the negotiation of development agreements.
• A proactive commercial and solutionsdriven approach with a genuine commitment to working collaboratively as part of a one team culture.
• Excellent communication skills strong attention to detail and the ability to provide clear pragmatic advice to clients.
• A strong academic background and the ability to manage a varied highquality workload with confidence and independence.
