As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical care to patients in urgent need. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of providing excellent healthcare services ensuring timely and effective treatment in emergency situations.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Stabilize patients in critical condition and manage acute medical situations
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records
- Participate in continuous education and training initiatives
- Adhere to all hospital protocols and safety standards
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding treatment options
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Florida
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- Strong clinical skills and experience in an emergency medicine setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
- Experience in a locum tenens role is a plus
Schedule: 12-hour day or night shifts
Annual Volume: 26k patients
14-bed ED
Rapid responses and codes required
Support Staff: APPs
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
