This contract on-site position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment.
As a Locum Gastroenterologist you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders working closely with a dedicated team to ensure the best patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients
- Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal diseases and conditions
- Perform endoscopic procedures as needed
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology and medical practices
- Participate in on-call duties as required
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Gastroenterology
- Current medical license to practice in the state
- Experience in a clinical setting as a Gastroenterologist
- Strong diagnostic and procedural skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
Level II trauma
Schedule: 8 or 10-hour shifts 4-5 days per week
1:8 call rotation
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Daily Volume: 12-18 per day
Full scope of GI cases
ERCP and EUS preferred
Support Staff: APPs Hospitalist on-call operator IR
EMR: Meditech and Provation
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
