Job Summary

Job Title: Data Engineer
Experience Level: 3-5 years
Location: Bangalore

Qualification: BTech/MTech/MCA
Mode of Work: Hybrid

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with strong hands-on experience in sql development thirdparty system integrations and production troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in PostgreSQL or DB2 along with practical experience in Unix Shell Scripting and will play a key role in ensuring seamless data flows system stability and integration reliability across our technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

Design develop and optimize complex SQL queries stored procedures triggers and database functions.
Perform performance tuning indexing and query optimization for PostgreSQL or DB2 databases.
Support schema design data modeling and database version control.
Manage and support integrations with thirdparty systems APIs and data exchange processes.
Investigate troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data inconsistencies system failures and interface errors.
Collaborate with external vendors and internal technical teams to ensure smooth integration workflows.
Develop and maintain Unix Shell Scripts to automate data loads file transfers scheduled jobs and system monitoring tasks.
Enhance existing scripts to improve system performance reliability and maintainability.

Requirements

3 years of hands-on experience in SQL development.
Strong expertise in PostgreSQL or DB2 experience with Unix/Linux environment and Shell Scripting (Bash KornShell etc.).
Good understanding of ETL processes data flows and system integration concepts.
Experience supporting thirdparty integrations APIs file-based interfaces or middleware.
Banking work experience would be a plus.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues under pressure.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
