Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer at Manager level to lead the design development migration and optimization of modern data platform solutions. The role requires strong hands on expertise in Snowflake data engineering cloud platforms and data architecture along with experience in migrating legacy data warehouses to Snowflake and optimizing workloads for performance and cost.
The candidate will be responsible for building scalable data pipelines leading SQL to Snowflake migrations and optimizing existing data models.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and development of data engineering solutions using Snowflake
- Lead migration of existing SQL based data warehouses to Snowflake
- Analyze legacy SQL code stored procedures and ETL workflows and redesign them for Snowflake
- Optimize existing Snowflake workloads for performance cost and scalability
- Build and optimize scalable ETL / ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data
- Perform query tuning warehouse sizing clustering and partition optimization in Snowflake
- Work with business analytics and data science teams to understand data requirements
- Manage end to end delivery of data platform and analytics projects
- Ensure data quality performance security and governance standards
- Guide and mentor data engineers and junior team members
- Collaborate with cloud BI and AI teams for integrated solutions
- Drive best practices in data engineering DevOps and CI/CD
- Participate in architecture discussions and client workshops
Required Skills
- Strong experience in Snowflake data warehouse development
- Experience in SQL Server / Oracle / Teradata / legacy warehouse migration to Snowflake
- Strong SQL skills with ability to rewrite and optimize complex queries
- Experience in performance tuning and cost optimization in Snowflake
- Hands on experience with Python and data engineering frameworks
- Experience with Azure cloud platforms
- Experience building ETL / ELT pipelines using tools like Airflow ADF DBT Informatica etc
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling
- Experience working with large scale data platforms
- Knowledge of data security access control and governance
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps for data pipelines
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Data Lake / Lakehouse architecture
- Snowflake certification preferred
- Experience in consulting / client facing roles
- Experience in data platform modernization programs
Managerial Expectations

Education
