Job Summary
A well-established organization in the Eastern Cape is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant / Accounting Manager to oversee core financial operations and lead a high-performing finance team. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical accounting expertise combined with proven people-management skills to ensure the accuracy integrity and efficiency of the finance function.
The role has a strong focus on fixed assets accounts payable and cash management and is ideal for a dynamic professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment enjoys problem-solving and can communicate complex financial information clearly to both finance and operational stakeholders.

Experience:
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee fixed asset management
- Manage and control accounts payable (AP)
- Supervise cashbook and treasury operations
- Drive month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review supporting schedules
- Assist with the preparation of accurate management accounts and financial statements
- Lead mentor and manage the finance team (approximately 38 staff) promoting accountability professional development and teamwork
- Drive process improvements and ensure compliance
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Qualification: BCom
- Experience: 35 years relevant financial accounting experience
- Management: Minimum of 3 years people management experience
