We are looking for an Usability and Accessibility Expert to work from one of ICF Nexts clients premises.
The Usability and Accessibility Expert is responsible for ensuring that digital products are accessible and provide a seamless user experience for all users including individuals with disabilities. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to implement best practices in usability and accessibility throughout the product lifecycle.
This position requires ongoing collaboration with design development and quality assurance teams as well as engagement with internal stakeholders involved in project delivery and accessibility initiatives. The expert may also collaborate with external partners or consultants to support compliance with accessibility standards and the effective implementation of best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct usability testing to assess the effectiveness and accessibility of digital products.
- Collaborate with design and development teams to create intuitive userfriendly and accessible interfaces.
- Ensure compliance with recognised accessibility standards and guidelines including WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines).
- Identify and address usability and accessibility issues through user feedback research and testing.
- Promote accessible design and inclusive user experiences across projects and teams.
- Provide training guidance and resources on accessibility best practices.
- Stay informed about emerging trends tools and advancements in usability and accessibility.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in usability and accessibility testing and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of accessibility standards guidelines and evaluation tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working with crossfunctional teams and managing multiple workstreams.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of assistive technologies used by people with disabilities.
- Familiarity with usercentred and inclusive design principles.
- Experience working with UX design and development processes.
This role plays a critical part in supporting the delivery of highquality inclusive digital products that meet diverse user needs.
Task 1: Usability Testing and Analysis
The expert is responsible for planning and conducting comprehensive usability testing activities to evaluate the effectiveness and accessibility of digital products. This includes collecting and analysing user feedback documenting findings and working with design and development teams to implement improvements that enhance user experience and ensure compliance with accessibility standards.
Task 2: Accessibility Education and Advocacy
The expert contributes to building accessibility awareness across teams by developing educational materials delivering training sessions and promoting inclusive design principles. The objective is to support a culture where accessibility is understood prioritised and embedded in digital product development practices.
