nature of position
A Legal Intern provides support to the Legal Operations team including the Legal Support team (e.g. paralegals and closers) on a wide range of transactional projects all of which support CHFAs mission of furthering the availability of affordable housing and economic development in Colorado. Areas of work may include assisting with commercial real estate loan transactions; single-family mortgage loan transactions; contract and legislative reviews; legal research including on innovation projects and assisting with some administrative tasks. This position reports to the Director of Legal Operations.

Ideal candidates are those who are pursuing a juris doctorate degree and have completed their first year or second year at an accredited law school in the U.S. Candidates should have an interest in learning more about working at a mission-based organization with a focus on transactional legal work.

physical environment
The incumbent in this position will perform the essential functions of the position in a hybrid environment which requires sitting at a desk for most of the day. Ability to perform essential functions & projects with or without assisting devices.
hiring range
$30 per hour
