Job Summary
The St. Laurent Lab at the Brigham and Womens Hospital and Dana Farber Brigham Cancer Center is seeking a highly qualified laboratory researcher to join our vibrant research team as a Research Associate. Our lab investigates the fundamental mechanisms driving gynecologic cancer development specifically focusing on the interplay between epigenetic and transcriptional regulatory processes. Our research employs a multidisciplinary approach integrating techniques such as liquid handling robotics and automation epigenomics utilizing clinical samples ex vivo models murine models cutting-edge sequencing technologies and bioinformatic data analysis. We collaborate extensively with researchers at Harvard Medical School MIT and internationally. Our goal is to significantly improve the lives of patients by treating and preventing gynecologic cancer. Our environment is rigorous and collaborative bringing together passionate individuals who are making an impact. Research Associates will benefit from direct mentorship from the Principal Investigator Dr. St. Laurent postdoctoral fellows and senior clinicians.We are looking for individuals with a growth mindset great attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively to solve problems in preclinical research and development. The position is ideal for a candidate with a solid understanding of laboratory benchwork who can effectively respond to changes and is resourceful flexible and driven to achieve in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to high-impact research projects and this position is ideally suited for college students who are graduating in 2025 and are aspiring to pursue an advanced degree such as a PhD MD or MD/PhD in the future.
Candidates who are in the process of completing their bachelors degree have a grace period of six months from their hire date (up to 1 year if starting per diem)to provide degree equivalency verification.

Essential Functions
-Responsible for data collection management manipulation analysis and reporting.
-Study cohort management.
-Outreach communication with subjects conducting mailings follow-up on mailings and obtaining necessary documents.
-Provides assistance on work related to epidemiological studies and other population-based research.

Professional Experience / Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline with 1-2 years of experience performing mentored independent research outside of coursework
- Strong scientific experience in one or more of the following areas: molecular biology cell culture and model systems protein biochemistry genomics bioinformatics immunology
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve instrument issues
- Ability to operate independently to perform complex experiments
- Driven self-motivated personality
- Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills
