Intervention Inc. a Colorado non-profit provides services within the criminal justice system across the state of Colorado including sobriety monitoring (UAs/BAs) electronic monitoring probation supervision and community corrections.

OVERVIEW
Oversees the day-to-day planning development implementation monitoring and supervision of facilitys security and general maintenance to ensure a safe environment.

JOB DUTIES

  • Support promote and adhere to the mission values and Code of Conduct of Intervention Inc.

  • Maintain confidentiality of client and company information.
  • Carry out all duties/responsibilities in accordance with Company values policies and procedures applicable laws and contractual obligations.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Companys values and policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing hiring and training employees; planning assigning and directing work; evaluating performance; providing feedback and development rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Ensure facility compliance with security and maintenance policies and procedures and applicable standards and laws; recommend and implement changes as appropriate
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all emergency policies procedures and regulations; respond immediately to emergency alarms or calls for help determine course of action notify appropriate authorities and assist as needed.
  • Assist in compiling timely and accurate statistical information on program operations and services assists in preparation of compliance audits.
  • Facilitate the arrest and program termination processes.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Actively participate on facility implementation team for evidence based practices
  • Act as a change agent in the implementation of new practices including training and coaching of staff and modeling desired behavior.
  • Develop and implement contingency management programs and practices to reward positive client behavior and to hold clients accountable for negative behaviors and to assist them in changing negative behavior
  • Actively participate in the staffing and disciplinary process for clients
  • Ensure PREA Compliance
  • Perform case audits to ensure compliance with established policy and procedure ensure issues are corrected
  • Represent the program through court hearings as a witness when subpoenaed or as directed by Program Manager
  • Follow all safety rules and procedures established per work areas.
  • May be required to work nights and/or weekends
  • Is available for on call duties and/or program coverage as required.
  • Monitor drug and alcohol tests as required. Drive personal car to court jail and/or other sites as required including in adverse weather
  • Attend required trainings and meetings and apply skills and knowledge.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • May act as program manager in the program managers absence
  • Good steward of Company human financial and capital resources.
  • Participate effectively as a team member through communication cooperation information sharing and problem solving.
  • Any other tasks or duties as assigned.
  • Directly supervises Community Corrections Team Leads and Community Corrections Specialists

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree (BA/BS) in Criminal Justice Social or Behavior Sciences or related field from accredited four-year college or university required ORequivalent directly comparable experience
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training in supervision of an offender population
  • At least one year team lead or supervisory experience


SKILLS

  • Computer skillsBasic ability to enter data generate reports and create communications from variety of software programs and databases

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to remain calm and deescalate stressful situations

  • Knowledge of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.

  • Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Company staff stakeholders and with diverse client base.

  • Must pass background check and have ability to access state criminal databases

  • Ability to walk about a multi-floor building quickly and frequently

  • Ability to lift and move furnishings while conducting searches

  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs.

  • Must have current CPR/First Aid certification within 6 months of hire

  • Valid drivers license preferred
